Product Introduction
Standard Name: Wedge Anchor (YZP Coated).
Common Names: Yellow Zinc-Plated Wedge Anchor, Expansion Bolt, Cut-Back Anchor.
Product Definition: A mechanical expansion anchor made of carbon steel with a yellow zinc plate (YZP) coating. Its operating principle involves inserting the bolt with a tapered tail end into a pre-drilled hole. When the nut is tightened, the tapered end expands the sleeve at the tail end, compressing the concrete hole walls to create strong friction and mechanical interlocking, thereby achieving high-load-bearing fixation. The YZP coating provides fundamental and environmentally friendly corrosion protection.
Wedge Anchor YZP Key Features
Yellow Zinc Plated (YZP): Passivated with yellow chromate, providing moderate corrosion protection
(superior to ordinary white zinc). The surface is golden yellow, aesthetically pleasing, and wear-resistant,
suitable for indoor or slightly damp environments.
Wedge Expansion Design: A tapered wedge and clamp at the bottom expand outwards when tightened,
gripping the concrete firmly and providing extremely high holding power and vibration resistance.
Head Type: Typically hexagonal head for easy torque installation; comes with washers and nuts.
Material and Strength: Commonly made of carbon steel, high-strength design, suitable for heavy-duty
fixing on solid substrates such as concrete.
Various Sizes: Diameter M6-M24, length 50-300mm, conforming to relevant structural standards.
Advantages: Extremely strong holding power, vibration resistance, detachable, economical and
aesthetically pleasing, but requires precise drilling and torque control.

Working Principle
Drilling Installation: Drill a hole of the matching diameter and depth into the concrete and insert the
anchor bolt.
Expansion Process: When the nut is tightened, the tapered wedge pulls into the clamping plate, which
expands outward to grip the hole wall.
Load Distribution: The expansion force is evenly distributed, providing high pull-out and shear strength;
a yellow zinc coating enhances corrosion resistance.
Fixing and Removal: A strong clamping force is generated, allowing the nut to be loosened for removal;
the principle involves mechanical wedge expansion and frictional gripping.

Product Applications
Building Construction: Fixing steel beams, railings, or curtain walls to concrete, providing structural
stability.
Industrial Installation: Secure heavy machinery, equipment bases, or pipes.
Infrastructure: Bridge railings or outdoor fixing, aesthetically pleasing for visible locations.
Residential and Commercial: Installing shelves or brackets, economical and reliable.
General Heavy Duty: Any project requiring high-strength anchoring.
