Product Introduction
Standard Name: Wire/Cable Clamp (ZP Coated).
Common Names: Galvanized Wire/Cable Clamp, Wire Retaining Clip, Cable Clamp.
Product Definition: A mechanical clamping device used to secure and organize wires, cables, or conduits. Typically features mounting holes for installation via bolts or screws onto equipment, panels, or structures, enabling wire harness fastening, support, and routing. The “ZP” surface treatment provides rust resistance, making it suitable for general industrial environments indoors and outdoors.
Wire Clamp ZP Key Features
Zinc Plated (ZP) Coating: Provides basic rust protection and a bright silver finish, enhancing corrosion
resistance, suitable for indoor or mildly humid environments.
U-shaped Clamp Design: U-bolt with saddle and nuts, encircling the wire rope for a secure grip; standard
U-shape ensures even pressure distribution.
Material and Strength: Commonly made of carbon steel or forged steel, high-strength design suitable
for heavy loads; conforms to DIN 741 or EN 13411-5 standards.
Diverse Specifications: Diameters M3-M40 (suitable for 3-40mm wire ropes), typically used with 2-3
clamps for safety.
Advantages: Simple installation, removable, cost-effective, and strong gripping force, but requires
correct torque and quantity to prevent slippage.

Working Principle
Wrap-around Installation: The U-bolt passes through the saddle, encircling the main wire rope and the
dead end.
Tightening and Fixing: When the nuts are tightened, the U-bolt presses against the saddle, generating
radial clamping force.
Frictional Grip: The saddle evenly distributes pressure, preventing the wire rope from slipping; the zinc
plating reduces friction and provides corrosion protection.
Multiple Clamps for Enhancement: Usually 2-3 clamps are used in series to ensure safety; the principle
involves frictional grip and mechanical interlocking.

Product Applications
Lifting and Hoisting: Forming rope eyes for lifting heavy objects, using multiple clamps for safety.
Construction Engineering: Securing suspension rods, railings, or safety ropes, providing temporary or
permanent connections.
Marine and Offshore: Securing wire rope rigging; zinc plating is suitable for mild exposure.
Industrial Equipment: Fastening conveyor lines, elevators, or mechanical pull ropes.
General Fixing: Connecting wire ropes in fences, swings, or outdoor projects.
