Product Introduction
Standard Name: Coupling / C-Clamp
Common Names: Pipe Category: Heavy-Duty Grooved Clamp, C-Type Clamp, Wafer-Type Union.
Product Definition: Piping: Metal fittings connecting two grooved pipes (typically cast iron). Secured by tightening bolts, they utilize internal “C-type” rubber seals for sealing. Offers quick installation without welding.
Pipe Clamp C Type Key Features
C-shaped design: Open C-shaped structure with bolt fastening, providing uniform clamping force
around the pipe, suitable for quick installation and removal.
Material and Coating: Commonly made of carbon steel, with surface treatments such as zinc plating (ZP),
hot-dip galvanizing (HDG), or stainless steel (SS), offering different levels of corrosion resistance; often
comes with a rubber liner (linerless option available).
Strength and Function: Rigid fixation, capable of bearing medium to heavy loads; often equipped with a
base plate or nut, and vibration-damping versions with rubber shock absorbers.
Diverse Specifications: Diameters from DN15-DN300 (1/2"-12"), widths from 20-50mm, supporting wall
mounting, beam clamping, or floor fixing.
Advantages: Simple installation, stable clamping, economical and durable, adjustable, suitable for
various pipe support applications.

Working Principle
Circumferential Installation: The C-shaped clamp body surrounds the pipe, and a bolt passes through
both ends.
Bolt Tightening: When the nut is tightened, the C-shaped opening contracts, generating radial clamping
force.
Load Distribution: The clamping surface evenly distributes pressure, and the rubber liner (if present)
provides shock absorption and sound insulation; the coating provides corrosion protection.
Fixing and Adjustment: Adjustable position to resist vibration and lateral forces; the principle involves
frictional gripping and mechanical interlocking.

Product Applications
Construction Engineering: Fixing water pipes, gas pipes, or drainage pipes to walls/beams, providing
stable support.
HVAC Ventilation: Installing air ducts or air conditioning pipes for quick construction.
Industrial Piping: Securing chemical or factory pipelines, resisting vibration.
Infrastructure: Fixing pipes in bridges or tunnels; galvanized versions are resistant to mild exposure.
General Support: Any project requiring quick C-shaped pipe clamping.
